Valentines Day Menu

Here is a preview for all you lovers out there looking for a nice place to take your significant other this Valentines Day. Come indulge in a mouth-watering three course meal for only $50.

Start with Champagne and Chocolate covered strawberries for all
Course 1
Laura Chenel goat cheese and wild mushroom tart, dried cherries, organic spinach,
aged balsamic reduction
Seafood Martini- New Zealand Black mussels, spot prawns, Maine lobster, Muscat grapes,
 goat cheese crisp, sweet vermouth cream
Trajinho, Vinho Verde, Portugal
Course 2
Deconstructed Dungeness crab Ceviche, Fresh picked wild berries, caramelized D’Anjou pears,
Citrus infused

Butternut squash, Lemongrass, Coconut Bisque, apple chip, Mango Relish,
Fig, almond and blue cheese beggar’s purse

Wine: Loredona Pinot Grigio, Monterey, California

Course 3
Pan Seared New Zealand Baby Lamb rack, savory fig bread pudding, baby carrots,
dried apricot and Currant Pan Sauce
Wine: Calatayud, Malbec, Argentina
Seared jumbo scallop, oyster mushroom risotto, Meyer lemon and smoky tomato broth,
red Muscat grape beurre blanc
Hoopla Chardonnay, Napa, California
Roasted Portabellini mushroom stuffed with veggie ratatouille, organic baby squash
with a celeriac and sunchoke puree
Wine: Aguilon De Abeja, Torrentes, Argentina

Lavender and honey Mille feuille with fresh coastal strawberries
Port wine poached pears with French vanilla ice cream and a brandy caramel sauce

SDTweetup celebrates SD Beer Week @ West Coast Tavern tomorrow Nov. 9 @7pm!

Did you know San Diego was voted the top beer town in the U.S by Men’s Journal? Come and sample some incredible beer and food pairings created just for you at one of the hottest new places in town, West Coast Tavern.

This will happen smack in the middle of San Diego Beer Week, which features a wide variety of events highlighting San Diego’s vibrant craft beer culture. Last year boasted nearly 300 different events, and this year looks even better!

The following pairings will be $6 each:

• Avery White Rascal paired with ahi tuna poke with avocado, acai berries and a citrus and White Rascal aioli
• Stone Pale Ale paired with baked spot prawns with a chipotle roasted corn salsa on a bed of wilted arugula
• Green Flash West Coast IPA paired with beef tenderloin skewer, crispy onion strings and a New Orleans spiced remoulade
• Eel River Organic Porter paired with beer-a-misu

BONUS: Chef's choice station for $2.00 - PBR paired with a crispy piece of chocolate-covered applewood smoked bacon (if you show up riding a fixie, you’ll be required to order this).

At West Coast Tavern here, we have LIVE MUSIC every Thursday. This week we introduce The Heavy Guilt, a San Diego based band with a unique take on traditional folk and blues combined with psychadelic and experimental rock.The band will be at WCT around 8:00pm.
